Frequently asked questions

What is OPT and the EAD?+

Optional Practical Training (OPT) lets eligible F-1 students work in the U.S. in a field related to their studies. You apply with Form I-765 and, if approved, receive an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) card.

When can I file my OPT application?+

USCIS must receive your initial post-completion OPT application from 90 days before your program end date up to 60 days after it. Filing on time matters — our process is built to keep you ahead of that deadline.

Do I work with a real attorney?+

Yes. A U.S. immigration attorney reviews your application before it is filed with USCIS. We combine a guided digital process with attorney oversight.

Do you support the STEM OPT extension?+

Our current focus is initial post-completion OPT. STEM OPT extension support is coming soon.
